Moai Knows the Way
Moai Makes it Home is an interactive installation about how both modern and ancient Pacific Peoples used their hands and the constellations to find their exact latitude and longitude in the world without the use of western tools through this nearly 3000 year-old technique that is still used today. The installation uses hand-tracking via LeapMotion that tracks the player’s hand and fists to help them try this technique to find their latitude in New York City.
